Dudheshwar Public Restroom

Ahmedabad, Gujarat | Completed July 2025

The first ramp TheRampProject ever built — and the one closest to our founding story. This public restroom in the Dudheshwar locality of Ahmedabad was the facility that inspired everything. A family member with a mobility disability was unable to access this restroom due to the absence of a ramp. Rather than accept that as inevitable, we built a solution.

Today, this ramp serves 30 to 35 people daily, giving seniors, wheelchair users, and people with mobility challenges access to a basic public facility they had previously been forced to avoid.

Access to a restroom is not a privilege. It is dignity

Veer Savarkar Sports Complex

Ahmedabad, Gujarat | Completed July 2025

The Veer Savarkar Sports Complex is a public athletic facility in Ahmedabad. Para-athletes and visitors with mobility challenges previously faced physical barriers at the entrance that prevented them from accessing the complex with confidence or independence.

With the installation of TheRampProject's ramp, athletes can now enter the facility freely. This project was independently covered by Ahmedabad Mirror (Times of India Group), which reported that para-athletes "can now access the facility with confidence, dignity, and ease."

Dudheshwar Temple

Ahmedabad, Gujarat | Completed July 2025

The Dudheshwar Temple is one of our highest-impact ramps. With 90 to 120 people using this ramp daily — the majority of them senior citizens — it is the single most active ramp in TheRampProject's portfolio.

Religious spaces hold deep significance in Indian communities. For seniors whose faith is central to their daily lives, the ability to access a temple independently is not a convenience. It is a fundamental part of who they are. This ramp restores that access.

Faith should not be gated by a flight of steps.

Mumbai Schools

Mumbai, Maharashtra | Completed 2025

TheRampProject built two wheelchair-accessible ramps at schools in Mumbai serving students from low-income families. These ramps ensure that children and adults with mobility challenges can access classrooms and school facilities without barriers.

Education is the most powerful tool for breaking cycles of poverty. A ramp that allows a child with a disability to reach their classroom is not just an accessibility intervention — it is an investment in that child's future.

Every child deserves to reach their classroom

Agra Temple

Agra, Uttar Pradesh | Completed March 2026

Our first ramp in Agra was built at a local temple serving a predominantly senior congregation. Approximately 25 seniors aged 65 and older visit this temple daily. For many, this is a central part of their daily routine and spiritual life.

This ramp represents TheRampProject's expansion beyond Gujarat — proving that our model is replicable across Indian states and communities.

Devotion should not be limited by steps

School for Underprivileged Students

Agra, Uttar Pradesh | Completed March 2026

This ramp serves a school in Agra dedicated to underprivileged students. Approximately 15 children and adults use this ramp daily. Many of these students come from families with limited resources — and a disability should never compound the barriers they already face.

Opportunity should be accessible to everyone — including how you enter the building.

Village Community Center

Agra, Uttar Pradesh | Completed March 2026

Our third Agra ramp was built at a village community center — a gathering space used by local residents for meetings, events, and community activities. Approximately 15 people use this ramp daily.

Community centers are where villages come together. This ramp ensures that members with mobility challenges are not excluded from the spaces where their community meets, decides, and celebrates.

Community means everyone. Not everyone except the people who need a ramp

Ahmedabad Civil Hospital

Ahmedabad, Gujarat | Approval Pending

Three ramps are currently pending approval at Ahmedabad Civil Hospital — one of Asia's largest hospitals. This represents the largest institutional partnership in TheRampProject's history and reflects growing recognition of our model by major public institutions.

A hospital is where people are at their most vulnerable. Ensuring that every patient, visitor, and staff member can navigate that space without physical barriers is not just an accessibility goal — it is a healthcare imperative.

Check back for updates as this project moves forward.
